The first Cost-Effective, Reliable Whole Home Reverse Osmosis System

A remarkable invention by Dr. C. Brent Cluff

The CWP 5.040 has been called a water miracle. The machine hooks up with a simple plumbing loop where the water comes into the house. Provides bottled-water quality for the house's entire plumbing system thanks to the 130 gallon polyethylene storage tank and the Grundfos Smart Pump

Unit installs in the corner of the garage next to the hot water heater, laundry room, or patio where the incoming water to the house is located. Easily attaches to an existing water softener loop and replaces the low-tech salt-based water softener.

A small plumbing job is required for installation consisting of a "loop" including 3 (ea) ball valves and two hose bibs. Following your purchase, we will provide instructions to your local plumber for installation. We always include a by-pass so that if for any reason the system fails, it can be by-passed with the flip of a lever.

Dr. Cluff's RO system includes 3 (ea) reverse osmosis membranes and one nanofilter membrane that operate on normal house water pressure. About thirty percent (30%) of the water is "reject", that which carries the impurities away and may be either used for yard, shrub and tree irrigation or run down the drain, depending on how scarce water is in your area.

Producing water at the rate of 1,000 gallons per day or a gallon every 75 seconds, once the 130 gallon tank is full, families enjoy purified water out all the taps in the house: that means less soap in the laundry, no spots on the dishes, ever, and lively shampoo and soap action in the shower.

The smart pump draws the purified water out of the 130 gallon poly tank, bringing the water level below the float switch, which activates the solenoid and starts the machine making water again. Once the tank is full, the switch floats up and turns the solenoid off.

The only maintenence is the replacement of a standard 10" slim 5-micron sediment filter ($5) and a 20" slim activated charcoal, also called carbon block filter ($26) every six months. These are standard items and available nationwide from any major vendor of water purification supplies. We also carry them at Clean Water Products.

If purified production declines after a year or more of use in hard water areas, the unit may be "bio washed" with a mixture of versene and trisodium phosphate according to instructions we will provide. It's easy, takes a 5 gallon bucket, about 15 minutes, and uses the smart pump's own pressure to wash the membranes.

One of the outstanding features is the Grundfos Smart Pump, three-quarter horsepower and 110 volt. It needs a 20 amp fuse, uses less than $10 worth of electricity per month in most cases and switches on automatically when you open a water valve anywhere in the house.

Our customers have all reported increases in water pressure following installation of the CWP 5.040 in their homes because of the quiet, smooth, reliable smart pump.

If it goes bad anytime in two years from your purchase date, return the pump to us and we will replace it free, charging only shipping and handling.
